John Yoho,(Ger. Johannes Joho) and wife Susanna were from the Swiss Village of Schinznach in the Canton (State) of Aargau. Aargau is located on the northern border of Switzerland, bounded on the north by France and Germany.
According to swiss Church Records the Joho's were reformed Christians.
The family came to America in 1738 on the Ship '' Snow Two Sisters ''. It's captain was James Marshall. They sailed from Rotterdam , Netherlands via Cowes England. Cowes is on the southern coast of England . They docked in Philadelphia 05 Sep 1738. In 1766 John Yoho received a Iand grant from Lord Fairfax , Baron of Cameron The land was near Winchester, Virginia . It was at White Post on the Cedar Creek . In 1771 the family moved to Green County, Pennsylvania. Finally settling on Fish Creek, Ohio County (w) Virginia.
Children born to this union:
1. Peter Yoho , born about 1745. Married Margaret Baker
2. Henry Yoho born about 1752. Married Katherine Baker.
Margaret and Katherine were twin daughters of Captain John Baker.
